Uncle Sam

Affectionately known as Uncle Sam by the community, Samuel fits the role as a confidant, friend and coach. Married and father of a lovely daughter, he divides his time between family and community.

Having been introduced to the CrossFit training methodology in 2007, Samuel developed a keen interest for its training principle. When he’s not busy building his passion through CrossFit, Sam supplements his workouts with activities like yoga, skateboarding, surfing and clay shooting.

Samuel started CrossFit Fire City in 2011 with the goal to build a community that will inspire one another to keep fit and stay healthy. One of Samuel's achievements thus far has been the organic growth of this close-knitted community. In this community, Samuel has been able to foster a team of extremely capable coaches and witnessed members striving to better themselves every day.

Samuel is fuelled by happiness. "Happiness brings people together to do things that generates greater happiness."
